Combat System

In Kindred Realm, combat blends the familiar structure of tab-target gameplay with the strategic weight of positioning, timing, and gear synergy. Players can choose a combat path that suits their style — from heavy-hitting warriors to ethereal spellcasters — all within a dynamic world of magic and danger.

Combat Styles

Striking: Close-range powerhouses using swords, axes, polearms and various other 1H/2H weapons.

Archery: Archers using weapons like 2H crossbow, duel-weilding 1H crossbow and various forms of bows. Also being thrown-weapon experts, mobile and precise.

Spellcrafting: Elemental and dark arts, channels magic through Tethered Sigils. These act as a floating symbol that rotates around the player.

Divine Arts: A divine force split between Radiance (healing/buffs) and Blood (sacrifice/debuffs). Weapon styles like staves, orb or balance (raidance or blood) and 1H maces

Bastion: This tank sheilding wielding skill governs damage reduction, blocking, and armor proficiency.

Equipment Types

Weapons are classed by type and tier, with each offering unique stat spreads and skill affinities. Armor is tiered, with lighter sets granting agility and heavier gear boosting durability.

Skills & Abilities

Players can slot active abilities tied to their Combat Styles. Passives unlock as mastery increases. Hybrid builds are viable — a blood-prayer tank? Go for it.

PvE vs PvP

Combat plays out in both PvE zones (against mobs, bosses, world events) and PvP areas (duels, battlegrounds, or open-world flagged zones). Progress and rewards are tailored to each type.

Progression

Each Combat Style levels individually. Mastery unlocks new abilities, visual effects, and gear use. Maxing a style offers a powerful bonus unique to that path, will you master them all?
